Helping Writers Become Authors

Hi and welcome! I’m K.M. Weiland (but you can call me Katie), and I love that you’re here because it means you take stories and the craft of writing just as bodaciously as I do. My goal in running Helping Writers Become Authors and the awesomesauce community of Wordplayers that has grown up around it is to show you how to write your best story–change your life–and astound the world.

Janice Hardy's Fiction University

I started this site back in 2009 with one goal in mind: To show writers ways to build a solid foundation for their writing. To provide tips and advice they could take right from these articles and apply directly to their work in progress. I wouldn't just say "show, don't tell" -- I'd give clear examples and advice on how to do that, so every writer could bring the story they wanted to write to life.

Hello! I’m A. Blachernae. Red Bull drinking Intern Doctor by day and Coffee guzzling Author by night. As an avid supporter of Indie Authors, watching them struggle researching esoteric subjects or earning one star reviews for inaccuracies in their books broke my heart. As an Unpaid Intern and Indie Author myself, my goal is to use my scientific background and strong researching skills to help Authors craft engaging, accurate and in-depth worlds at prices that do not break their wallets. Your readers deserve to lose themselves in a magical world. Come, let us craft that world together.
